Bay Harbor Community Scholarship
Started by the Bay Harbor Foundation in 2004 as the Bay Harbor Foundation Scholars Program, the Bay Harbor Foundation gifted its scholarship funds to North Central Michigan College Foundation in 2024 to create the Bay Harbor Community Endowment, which would continue to fund annual scholarships for employees and relatives of employees working in the Bay Harbor Community.
The purpose of the Bay Harbor Community Scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to deserving college or university students who have, or whose parents or grandparents have, made contributions to the Bay Harbor Community as employees of entities engaged in activities or business within Bay Harbor. The “Bay Harbor Community” shall include all geographic areas which are presently or hereafter designated as part of Bay Harbor. “Employment within the Bay Harbor Community” shall include employment by the Bay Harbor Yacht Club, the Bay Harbor Golf Club, the Inn at Bay Harbor, the Bay Harbor Resort & Marina, the Bay Harbor Lake Marina, condominium associations within Bay Harbor such as the Cliffs or other businesses, or organizations with offices or stores within Bay Harbor.
This scholarship is intended to help Bay Harbor employees working a minimum of 350 summer hours, or their family members, who are full-time students with financial need enrolled in a 2-year associate degree program.

- By selecting "Yes," you are confirming that you have worked, or plan to work) a minimum of 350 hours this summer in the Bay Harbor community.
- Please provide at least one letter of recommendation from an employer, counselor, professor, long-time friend, or Bay Harbor resident who knows you well. A second letter of recommendation is not required but is strongly encouraged. The name and contact information for each author must appear on the letter.
