Dr. H. Carl and Gladys Spitler Memorial Scholarship

The Dr. H. Carl and Gladys Spitler Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of Dr. H. Carl Spitler, established by Dr. Spitler’s son and daughter-in-law, Donald H and Nancy Spitler. Dr. Spitler was instrumental in the establishment of North Central Michigan College and pioneered vocational programs in Petoskey. He also served as Superintendent of Petoskey Public Schools for many years, retiring in 1958.

This scholarship aims to help full-time students who aspire to be nurses, paramedics or engineering technologists, with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
